What to expect
Treatment appointments typically take around 30-40 minutes, depending on the number and size of the areas being treated. During the procedure, you may feel a brief warming or snapping sensation as the laser targets pigment within the skin. Immediately after treatment, pigmented spots may appear darker as the skin begins its natural renewal process. Over the following days, the treated areas gradually fade or flake away. A series of treatments may be recommended depending on the type and depth of pigmentation.
Downtime
Moderate to high downtime: 3 - 7 days. Pigmented spots may temporarily darken and form small crusts before gradually fading over the following 5 to 10 days but can usually be covered with make up. Normal daily activities can usually be resumed shortly after treatment, although sun protection and aftercare guidance should be followed.
