What to expect
Treatment appointments typically take around 15 to 30 minutes depending on the size and number of areas being treated. During the procedure you may experience a mild warming or snapping sensation as the laser targets areas of excess pigment. Treated spots may appear darker immediately after treatment as the pigment begins to break down. A series of treatments may be recommended depending on the number and depth of pigmented areas.
Downtime
Low to mild downtime: 1-3 days. Temporary redness or mild sensitivity may occur following treatment. Pigmented spots may darken and form small crusts before gradually fading over the following 5 to 10 days as the skin renews.
